Mk1 & Mk2**(MK2 only Gold finished)
So guys been having more of a play around with NMM (Non Metalic Metal) Gold for my high elves and have been asked a few times for a tutorial/guide for it. Please bear in mind that this is only my second attempt at this so it looks a bit messy and may not be the "best method". Also not sold that it actually looks metallic gold yet either but I think the actual model looks not bad as a colour scheme :)

Below is a step by step guide with paints :)

Watered down Rhinox Hide to give a thin covering.

Liberal thinned layer of Balor Brown (not great coverage tbh but be patient and dont allow the paint to gloop or show brush strokes).

Good ol' covering wash of Agrax Earthshade. LET THIS DRY THOROUGHLY! go for a run, play a computer game, work on another model. DO NOT TOUCH til fully dry!

Layer Balor brown on all raised surfaces. Thin it down an take your time, start building up a transition on large surfaces (see helmet)

Another layer of thinned Zamesi Desert building up more transitions/blends.

Highlight a layer of Iraqui Sand (can be bleached bone). Actually did a few layers (not pictured) of this mixing in gradually more white up to pure white.

Finally I applied a light glaze of seraphim sepia to tie it together and hide any mis-strokes and deepen any recesses. Mixed the sepia in 1:1 ratio of glaze medium.

Anyway let me know what you think of this technique. With a bit of practise I thin this could be relatively quick and provide quite a striking colour scheme.
