Grumpy Grumbling: DEM DISCOUNTS, WHERE THEY BE AT?

Hey all,

I've sold a buncha stuff via ebay (and more to go later this week) including my codex for vanilla spehss mehrens. Needless to say, I'm going to acquire the new BA codex with this cash. Unfortunately, MASSIVE ALL CAPS RAGE!!!!1!!!!!one!!!!!!! has ensued as most online stores which stock 40k don't really pass down the discounts as they either:

a) Don't offer free postage and $68.00 becomes $79.28
b) Won't offer free postage until you spend >=$150 which is stupid considering it was >= $100 two weeks ago
c) Don't offer enough of a discount to justify the postage 

$3.72 does not a discount make
So yeah, needless to say I'm going to the source on this as GW is nicer in a lesser of two evils kind of way. Like choosing between "Eaten by Tyranids" or "Blammed by Commissar" (I'll take blammed as you won't be alive when the tyranids feast on you and thus feel no pain).

Luckily I picked up my Furioso (using screenshot for spelling) for $40 free postage off ebay so I'm pleased about that. With $2 more to go towards free postage, I'm debating on getting the Librarian terminator or sanguinary priest as those two are out of stock everywhere or aren't reasonably discounted (like, hey we'll knock $3 off- totes worth it). It's frustrating to find a decent deal for 40k stuff here and that's including the FLG stores/online shops- ebay is sadly my go to for cheap as many things go for less than even the discount price inc postage.

At least I'm right for tactical marines (though I kinda want the sculpted power-abs with twin-linked melta nipples fer lolz). I might forgo the libby and get the shoulder pads to bling up my normal tactical squads.

Ha nooo, went with the Libby. Kinda want a 'showpiece' model character to go with the limited captains from last year. So now all I need is to update to 7th or FAQ my 6th book (by means of adding the changes) and I'm golden. Still a little prissy at the discounters as buying direct from GW (codex + libby) was ON PAR with the "discounts".

Eh, whatever. At least I now have the codex.
