Black Orcs are the biggest and strongest of all Orcs, and get their name from their dour, grim demeanour as much as from the colour of their skin, which is extremely dark green or black.They take war much more seriously than other Orcs and have the best equipment. Many of their fearsome weapons are captured in battle, and carried as a mark of their self-evident superiority, while others are paid in tribute by subjugated tribes.
The Orcish Elite, the Black Orcs, are the newest addition to my dungeon. They are one of the last things that needs to be fixed to complete the Lair of the Orc Lord. It was important for me to paint them in a different colour scheme than the rest of the Orcs surrounding Gorgut. Their grim and dark look should underline their status as Mercenaries aswell as the fact that they are part of another Orc tribe.

Next to a regular Orc and an Orc Champion. I think one can see that they are all somehow connected, yet the Black Orc looks like a part of another tribe due to the colour schemes.
That’s the last few pieces that need to be done to complete the expansion the Lair of the Orc Lord. Another 3 Black Orcs, 3 Goblin Wolf Riders and the Shaman’s Den room.
