Following on from Rich's finished (in ridiculous time) Guild Ball Fisherman team, I thought I'd share some of my much slower WIP on my Butcher's team. I've been accumulating these guys for a couple months now, but had only got as far as building and priming the first 5. Decided to kick off with the big fella Boar as I wasn't 100% sure on my colour scheme, and he is mostly flesh!
Thought I'd go for a Red/Orange/Brown/Cream theme, but still was hoping to end up with a dirty/bloody look. Also, played about with my new Flower & Heather tufts for a bit of contrast (from Tajima on Ebay). The bases are the resin inserts from the Kickstarter I picked up from a dude on Twitter. I wasn't part of the KS so these guys are all metal models. Think I may have preferred resin models, as these guys are quite soft and bendy. The thinner models especially are liable to wee bits coming off after being glued.
Still I'm happy overall with the models and hope to get the other lot painted in next few weeks. Got the GB pitch due to come very soon, and hopefully can get started learning the bloody game! Also, must be strong and not buy another team........Morticians models look very appealing.....
