I just checked, the last Moria Orc in armour was painted in October 2012 by me, almost 3 years ago now. I learned some new tricks here and there in the meantime which I can hardly use now when I am picking up an old scheme again. Yet the main problem was that I wasn’t shure which exact colours I used for the armour of the Moria Orcs. So I had to rediscover how I painted it back then and fortunately I succeeded.
Somehow Fall always brings me back in the mood for the Lord of the Rings. I just had two fast games against Flattervieh’s men of Rohan which led me to watching the Movies again while painting some new stuff for my old army.
Also I am thinking right now that I should start a good army as I am still missing one. But what could it be?
The first Moria Orc in a long time. I would like to reinforce my tiny Orcs with some elite strength. Therefore I will paint some black shields.
Next to a regular Orc and a Warg. I guess it’s no coincidence the Warg is losing his temper as he noticed the colour of the Orc’s cloak.
The Rohirrim had to learn the painful lesson that masses of small Orcs can be even harder to deal with as the elite Uruk-Hai.
