"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." Poe

Power levels stable, meters show all readings within tolerances. The place is a bit dusty but it appears things are still in working order... although several of the servo skulls have shut down.... hmmm

Testing testing... can anyone hear me?

Hobby fatigue or maybe I just got busy, perhaps a bit of both. 40k changed a lot over the last few years, like waking up next to a completely different girl than the one you flirted with at the bar. (I swear when we started drinking you looked different maybe she feels the same way looking at me lol ) 40k has pretty great models, and really good fluff, but I honestly can't say I am excited to play it anymore. The game has become something a bit different for me personally. Doesn't help that the main people I gamed with no longer really play that game anymore they have moved along to other systems. Gaming at the end of the day is about the group, hanging out with friends right? I did meet tons of great people playing and traveling about, not to mention writing random things online.

Several things didn't work out and several projects I was hoping to be apart of of went in different directions as well. So it's time to start over a bit and regroup.. I am starting to get more free time again to invest in all those nerd, and hobby things we tend to enjoy. I'll be honest while I haven't missed playing 40k, I have missed painting and building. Let's not lie Games Workshop does have solid fluff and a great world.

However as I start getting the hobby train rolling again, and messing around with such things I'll also be expanding out into several other interesting things. I have some terrain stuff to do, a couple busts I have been toying around with painting, not to mention a few other game systems. I also have several models from the Toughest girls of the galaxy kickstarter I haven't touched. Not sure what to do with them just yet.

I did pick up some Warmachine starters.

I don't really know anything about the game. However these both looked interesting to paint. The one take away going forward is that I want to play armies I find interesting. So I figure on my long laundry list of hobby things to get into I would start with tinkering with one of these kits first and see where that leads me. I have a couple buddies that have been trying to get me to give Warmachine/Hordes a try for awhile now.

Any tips for a new Player? Any advice for the random choices I ended up with? haha.

Anyway more to come.......
