I recently stumbled upon the really interesting kickstarter campaign Colony 87. Even though the description speaks of generic sci-fi miniatures the link to the 40K universe can’t be overlooked.
What a lovely idea! The whole Games Workshop production of both miniatures and artwork mostly focuses on the war between the stars leaving out the whole rest. I am always hungry for more input regarding actual life in the 41st millennium. That’s why I am a huge fan of the 40K role-playing game. Bringing some parts of it on the table as miniatures is a great idea. Of course you won’t need a multi part plastic kit of Adeptus Administratum writers for your next match. But freshen up special scenarios with miniatures of the expanded 40K-universe sounds very good to me.
That’s where “Lord Greiss” came kicking in. I am still busy adapting the scenarios of “Battle for Macragge“, adjusting the background quite a bit. The main protagonist is no longer an irritating helpless Space Marine Sergeant but an Imperial Gouverneur of the Planet Argos now.
I really hope we’ll see more from the guys who did Colony 87. Maybe some cool rogue trader captain and his/her crew?

The scale of the miniatures is really fitting. I had to get my hands on Lady Greiss aswell even if I have no clue how to give her a worthy attendance on the table yet.

The Governor survived the transit ship's crash and is in dire need of rescue now. More about his unintentional adventures hopefully soon.
