But what about these Tree-men, these giants, as you might call them? They do say that one bigger than a tree was seen up away beyond the North Moors not long back […] But this one was as big as an elm tree, and walking – walking seven yards to a stride, if it was an inch.

Samwise Gamgee

Most of the stuff I am painting serves a gaming purpose. Even if some projects might take years to hit the gaming table there are hardly any miniatures I am painting just for the shelf. Of course there are exceptions, like the Ent I am showing you today.
The company Shadow and Flame came up with some fantastic sculpts for the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. I hope these guys will surprise us with even more great stuff soon. When I saw their treemen I was immediately sold and knew that I had to get my hands on them. The first one I painted was the Ent Birchseed.
The opportunity to field an army of Ents might of course pop up one day. But that seems a long way off to be honest.

That's what I have here at the moment. Not enough Ents for a proper Entmoot though.
