Time for round two of the Omnipollo week! This time we are paying visit to Omnipollo's Mazarin, a beer produced using oatmeal as the base. So before I reveal too much let's jump in.

Details

Name: Mazarin
Style: APA (American Pale Ale)
Brewery: Omnipollo (Website)
Country: Designed in Sweden brewed in Belgium by De Proefbrouwerij.
Price: £3.25 England for a bottle
ABV: 5.6%

Commercial Fluff:
Mazarin is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
In fact, so extra special that it snatched a gold medal at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2013.

Henok

Own Opinion

Sight: Similar to the 'Neb' this beer pours a hazy, cloudy orange and settles with a thin white head. Definitely a cloudy beer.
Aroma: Packed full of citrus hops aroma. This beer though is softer with the hops used and gives of aroma's of peach, grapefruit and tiny bit of pine.
Taste: Citrus fruity notes along with a straw malty base. Quite a sweet beer in my opinion.
Would I buy it again? Mostly likely yes. Not my first choice when it comes to omnipollo but definitely a pack leader if I find it in a bar.
