As a start of a Wood Elves Blood Bowl Team I decided to scratch build a Treeman as the whole team ought to be ready quick and not pricey. Therefore I didn’t search for a miniature online and waited for its arrival.
I started with a frame made of left overs from plastic sprues. To get that rough bark look I went for a cheap putty instead of green stuff. Just for the later steps such as roots, a mushroom and the face some green stuff was used. After the paint job the “branches” got some turf to get some green on the tree. All in all the miniature’s cost is below two Euros, not counting the paint.
