We’re a bit late on joining in for the new edition of Warhammer 40.000. During the last months or even years the interest in Warhammer 40.000 faded away within our small gaming community and I think the new edition was the fresh and revitalising wind that we all needed to start again. So we gathered for a small 500 points tournament and gave the new edition a try.
Rekrom was accompanied by his wife for the first time at one of our events. She brought this lovely Sisters of Battle force to the table.
Rekrom had his main army the Tyranids in his army case.
Flattervieh used the opportunity of the event and expanded his Nurgle Daemons Kill Team to a 500 points strong force.
The new Deathguard models are the start Kjeld’s new project for the new edition.
I went for my old love the Astra Militarum of Argos. I was keen on testing the new vehicle rules.
Unfortunately I was quite occupied by the games which led me to forget about my camera and my plan on taking lots of pictures.
This Nurgle drone was absolutely devastating and one of the main reasons why I lost against the Deathguard.
Also the Psyker was a tough enemy.
This probably won’t end well.
A team match (two times Nurgle against the forces of the Imperium) was due at the end of the day.
Surprisingly the drone was able to destroy the penitent engine.
The Daemons went into close combat…
…on all parts of the table.
This certainly was a good day for Father Nurgle and for us aswell. The new edition was really well received here. I am foretelling a lot more action regarding Warhammer 40.000 on the blog again. Cheers to all my mates attending the event. I am really pleased that there is a reason to dust off all the old miniatures and to maybe begin a new project or two.
