Five years have passed since the first post went “Hello, World!”. Lots and lots of changes happened during that time. Not only for the hobby but for the people involved here on the blog aswell. During the last couple of months the participation faded and as this was supposed to be a group-project this might very well be the last post aired here. I am still active but not interested in running a blog alone for the moment. Just in case you’ve wondered why there are that little posts the last weeks. We’ll have to wait and see what the sixth year will bring.

But as I said, I and others are still active, not so much online though. I’ll use this post to dump a few pics of the last matches we had. The start was a pretty cool 40K Kill Team match we had at the end of the last year. We use to perform at least one Kill Team match a year and this time we came up with something special. Here you can read about the introduction:

The great despoiler Abaddon has launched his 13th crusade against the imperium of Man. The forces of Chaos are aligned under his banner yet there is still a lot of rivalry among his troops. This is the tale of five ambitious Chaos Warlords and their hunt for glory and favour of their dark gods.
The black oracles and corrupted astropaths were babbling with the voices of a thousand deamons. They had sung the evil tale of a corrupted blade which was lost centuries ago yet had returned during these times of turmoil. The possession of such a powerful item of Chaos would certainly grant the bearer both greater might and the recognition of the Warmaster Abaddon himself. It was even rumoured that this very blade was one of the eight Athame. Crafted by the legendary Erebus from the remains of the Anathama which wounded Horus and gave birth to his fall.
Yet the necessary informations to find the Athame are not easy to obtain. Rumour has it that a loyal Astropath of the Corpse on the Golden Throne is in possession of concrete details about the location of the sought-after artifact. The five Chaos Warlords launched five elite teams of Warriors to capture this Astropath at any cost. Only one of them would be able to break into the heavily guarded Space Station Afyssos and get a hold of the Astropath Euryale.

So the first scenario is about four elite teams (read Kill Teams) who are hunting down the Astropath:

Flattervieh brought a Kill Team of his favoured Legion - The World Eaters.

Of course lots of fighting between the Chaos Teams went on aswell.

This match was super fun! The successor will be a 750 points match on the surface of a warp haunted planet in the shadow of a Chaos temple. Rekrom’s Iron Warriors will be rewarded with additional points for this match as his Warlord had more time to rally his forces due to the information he could get from the Astropath.

We also had a couple of Battle Companies matches again. My Gundabad Orcs were hilariously bad just as my men from Minas Tirith were good. It really got the old Mordheim-vibe with your warbands progressing (or not). Looking forward to the next matches!
