Day four and it's grey goo time!
With the plaster now set, creating the basic landscape, the texture is next. Most of this will be covered up with snow effect, but I still want a realistic mud-like texture where it will show through. This sandy paste is quite handy (if a bit awkward to spread) for creating a muddy feel to the display.
I've added a bit of grit and smaller rocks to the landscape for variety.
Finally for today, a few smaller details have been pushed into the still-wet paste. A landmine, discarded weapons and a few mandatory skulls have been added to make the display that little bit more "40k".
Return to the blog tomorrow for more dis-playful updates!
