Since yesterday I've added a few more colours, started the river and added the first layers of snow and plant-life.
I'm not quite happy with the snow itself, I think I need much more on the board. To replicate the markings caused by the tank I've purposefully left two lines clear. I still aim to keep this effect even if I add a lot more snow.
For a ten day project I think this is coming together quite well. All that's left at this stage is the river, the rim, and getting the snow just right.
