Afternoon #warmongers and #warhammercommunity I've been #paintingwarhammer on my Galvanic Servo-haulers.
I decided to pick out the Mechanicus skull on the wheels. There's a lot of rust and oranges on these, having the skull bone just helps break things up a little bit.
Lots of Ryza Rust on the crane too, but I also picked out some red details, for cables and cylinders [funny how those are semi-cylinders - they don;t go through to the other side of the uprights].
Lots of extra shading in places to make even more contrast between the yellow and rust.
I'd ummed and ahhed over the colour of the energy coils. Instead of the blue glow I could have done I decided to make them insulating glass, similar to what I did with my Predator las-cannons.
I added some highlights and will gloss varnish/Tamiya Clear Red X-27 them
I also picked out the skull at the top. It's these little details that just add an extra dimension to the models.
They're terrain and don;t need to stand out too much but having these extra little elements make it a slightly more considered piece. And it has been considered, so it needs to reflect that. It's hard though because considering NOT to put something on is a lot harder to justify than considering to add an element. You can always see what's been added, not what hasn't. I guess that's a good rule for making a decision whether to do something or not...
