So, it's a weird hybrid photography session. But they're done. While I flip-flopped during construction and WiPs between which Armiger was my favourite, I can't choose now - which is as it should be.
The Headhunter had such a great pose, but I was underwhelmed with the lack of chevrons - solved. Then the white studs looked odd - solved, by making them [and the embarkation handle] red, which balanced the existing use of red and it just looks cool.
The groin plate is still debatable fitting the theme but it's hidden away so I think I can live with it.
The ribbons turned out pretty cool, just a bit disappointed I didn't get to use the other spare banners on the running Armiger, but they wouldn't have worked.
The decals on the gunshield were not what I had in my head, but I managed to put just enough on to be happy with the results. It looks archaic and mysterious, so that will do.
Super happy with the the finished result.
And the 'running man' [Ser Marathon?]. I think I reconciled the white mask will be the preferred choice.
I think it just made more sense than the yellow one. It's not glued in though, so I can always swap it.
My only concern is how much his leg flexes when I pick him up. It's pinned, but even so it does not feel quite as solid as I'm comfortable with. I may need to up my storage/transport game with these now.
He looks mighty cool though and that gunshield adds something. Now all I have to do is finish off the small weapons. They just need blessed verdigris and varnishing, but they're super fiddly which gives me no incentive to get them done.
Alongside one of my 'recent' Helverins. They deserve a full army photograph perhaps. My Armies on Parade board only had the Cerastus, 2 Questoris and 2 Armigers. I can add the newer Armigers and my older Freeblade [as Canis Rex] now.
Another Bloody Great Big Bloody Stamp of Bloody Approval!
