Does this thing even work? It would be remarkable considering most of the world's computers got crowdstruck yesterday. Not only that, I was away for so long that a couple of this site's back-end components had changed completely and I needed to make some updates if I wanted my soap box to continue.
I needed the time away, not just because my army had been forced into early retirement (although that was another cherry on top of an already shit sundae, thanks GW 💩) but mostly due to real life getting harder before it gets easier. The last warhammer related game I played was one of the board-gamified versions from Barnes & Noble; the game was a little lackluster, however, the minis in this one were excellent:

Gabe had some legendary pulls in his first box that had us all chasing after rare cards, and this time around we learned the rules properly and had some amazingly close and fun games.
As fun as this and other card games can be, there isn't really a hobby aspect to them and I found myself still needing creative / artistic outlets.
Trying other mediums has been really enjoyable. I still suck at drawing, haha, but I love the unexpected surprises of watercolor -- similar to mini painting, you don't always know how the blended colors will turn out until the paint dries.
I'm still biking and adventuring as much as I can, getting out where the wild things are.

I keep accidently rubbing the paint off but I have some varnish to try when the heat & humidity chill out...
