The first person to guess correctly wins the most prestigious, absolutely nothing for a prize, well except for bragging rights. Kind of like that old "No Prize" that Stan Lee at Marvel Comics use to give. So if you have a guess, chime in, and if you are my co-worker with the initials KK, you already what it is.
Well this next one is obvious as to what is. The below pic is of the Vendetta Mark IV offset racing kart, by our Deathwish Racing Karts imprint.
Its the first of two brand new oval track kart frames, for competition next season. We took what we learned last year and applied that to this frame, the bulk of which is 0.083 Chrome molly steel tubing. It should much lighter than the 090 and 120 wall mild steel that we used last year. The goal is to drop about 30 pounds in the rolling chassis. We also changed the front axel tube bends, and changed the design of the left rear back to the way the Mk I and Mk IIs were. In the meantime I bought a new style engine mount to lower the engine and move it more to the left side. Oval racing is alot about finding the right balance. The mount should help lower the center of gravity a bit more, and move more of the weight to the left side. Running ovals is more than just turning left, and last year I found myself turning right a bit too much on the exits of the turns trying to catch the rearend before it spun out. Mad science, physics, dynamics at its finest.
