I think I may have just done a bad thing. This is my initial Necron 500 point list:
- HQ: Overlord with Warscythe (AP2 goodness just in case)
- Troop: 10x Warriors with Nightscythe
- Troop: 10x Immortals
Yes, I’m bringing a flyer to 500 points. Needless to say this list is very anti armour if anybody else brings any with all that Gauss and that flyer is going to be hard to bring down. The weakness is that you only need to kill 21 models before the flyer has to stay on the table to not automatically forfeit the game so the Ork list is still laughing. I suspect it will not end well against a lot of armies.
I’m curious as to how this one will play out. If the flyer is rubbish I’ll add more Warriors, and I’m also considering changing the Immortals to warriors and increasing the squad sizes. I suspect that I know the answer, but who can refuse the call of the flavour of the month “broken” force. At the very least it will be interesting to see if I can actually make it work at this level with a lone flyer and pitifully low number of troops. Exactly how unbalanced is a 100pt flyer?
