Hey all,

There's no picture for this at the moment but the scheme (as tested on a 60mm base formerly housing a dreadnought [he's off swimming]) is as follows:

  • White primer
  • Red Gore- basecoat
  • Blood red-layer
  • Blazing orange- highlight
I'm unsure if there should be a wash in there but I'm taking a break from WHFB chaos as the community has gone toxic re: 9th. It's difficult to get motivation when there's naught but the gnashing of teeth. Also found out something- mixing washes with those clear gloss/matte coats (ie lahmian medium) to get even wash coverage. Damn, if only one found that out sooner.

I want these blood angels to be bright and colourful. Sadly, I made the stupid mistake of ordering some shoulder pads for the BA. I thought that they'd be normal sized but they're slightly smaller (re: noticeable if you half and half it with plastic ones). So I'll need to get a BA tac squad for those fancy pads. -_- At least I can kit out some assault marines with the pads (got enough to do 10 marines, both shoulders).

Still, ebay stuff is selling so it's funding this stuff.
