More 20mm WW2 on my hobby table. This time in the form of the German Nebelwerfer from Italeri, lets be honest how can you not include these awesome rocket launchers in your army.

The Italeri model is not as cheap as some of the other models in their range but still a good model with lots of detail. The one downside is the crew are in winter uniform. I did not want a winter theme so decide to paint them in splinter camouflage in my usual way and hope for the best.

I started off with a grey primer followed by a base coat of  Vallejo colours like uniform grey for the trousers, reflective green for the helmets and the rest with GW colours that are a close match for the jackets.

The Nebelwerfer I painted with a base brown camouflage of a 50/50 mix of Middlestone and Chocolate Brown and a 70/30 Chocolate Brown and Middlestone mix for the center part of the camouflage. The green was a 50/50 mix of Reflective Green and Middlestone as a base then a 70/30 mix of Reflective Green and Middlestone for the center of the camouflage.

Finished off the base with oregano and dried parsley after gluing ground black pepper as the ground.

Once dry I covered the models in a heavy wash of 60/40 Brown / Black to add shading. Added a few highlights and they were done.

Next up the finished model.
