Eldar Wraith Host: Wraithknight Abholos (NNYPC 3)

Finally a 40k update! But first I just want to thank everyone, for continuing to check out my new posts about Judge Dredd and beer. It's nice to be finally merging all these topics into the one blog. For me personally it's great as I keep updates coming more regularly, as well as correcting previous errors. It's also reigniting my passion on these projects too. So expect more.

Now to 40k, as you are all aware I'm apart of NNYPC. For this challenge I'm attempting to complete an Eldar Wraith Host this year (6 units in 12 months). So as a part of this Challenge I have a 85% completed Wraithknight. Why 85%, well the base still needs completing and the white on the gun needs a second coat. But I'm happy with how he is looking and would be comfortable to put him on the table. So without further ado here is Abholos- Devourer in the Mist.

May not be the most popular layout, but I like the Suncannon.

So why the Suncannon? Well in my local area we use the itc rules for most game play. Which I enjoy using as it's helps to keep everyone on the same page rules wise. But under these rules D-Weapons aren't as scary. So I have a chance to pick whatever I like. With that in mind when building I decided I liked the pose I could make with the suncannon. Also a Str 6, Heavy 3, Blast, AP 2 gun is nothing to ignore especially if I can guide Abholos. This combo can really punish the magnitude of Marines and tau I am facing. Then as back up I have a scatter laser just to aim at a closer unit, to charge later.
