And so the time has finally arrived: Day five and the final day of Omnipollo week and my final bottle to sample from them. It's been so much fun going over these beers again and I have enjoyed it so much. For those only arriving today or following a link here is a quick recap:

So which beer to finish the week on? The answer was quite easy it had to be the only non pale ale in this collection Hynopompa.
Name: Hynopompa
Style: Imperial Stout
Brewery: Omnipollo (Website)
Country: Sweden but brewed in Brouwerij de Molen in Holland
Price: £4 (England Price)
ABV: 11%
Commercial Fluff:
"Hypnopompa is our imperial stout brewed with almost 100 kilos of marshmallows and Tahitian vanilla beans (the size of cigars). Low carbonation and boiled a bit extra for good measure, this is a beer strictly for the stout inclined.

Own Opinion
Sight: Pours a pitch black with minimal head, as you can see in the picture. What head is there is a mocha tan colour, clinging on to the glass with all it's strength.
Aroma: Aroma is alcoholic, burnt/roasted malts and a weak hint of vanilla.
Taste: Inky tongue covering liquid. With little to no carbonation it really coats your tongue. The flavour is very sweet, from the sugary malts and the vanilla. But this soon passes as the alcohol really pushes through to the front. Surprisingly it has left my mouth feeling slightly dry and a hint of coffee bitterness.
Would I buy it again? Maybe. I would buy it again because it's rare to see where I live now. But if I was in London or New York my hand would be heading to something else I feel. It is an interesting beer and some great flavours, but it's not quite there for my palette. Definitely want to try a barrel aged version of it.
And with that we have reached the end of Omnipollo week. It's been a blast going through these beers and I'm sad to see it come to an end. Never fear though for there will be more reviews soon and another brewery week (eyeing up some Jester King). So lets finish here.
