After the Betrayal of Isstvan Ghalan Surlak’s duties towards his brethren changed. Once he was obliged to save their lives in combat but now he had to increase their berserk fury. With the help of the Butcher’s Nails they became slaughter themselves until victory or death.
Surlak and his inner circle of Apothecaries learned a lot new techniques by no one else than Chief Apothecary Fabius of the Emperor’s Children.

Initially I wanted to have another Apothecary for my troops. Therefore I converted the MK II miniature quite a bit by giving him a head sans helmet and replacing the bolt pistol with a helmet instead. His left arm got magnetised and the chain sword replaced by a chain axe. But after I saw the fresh rules for Gahlan Surlak I thought by myself that this would be quite a fitting miniature for him if he would get a power axe.
Right now I am working on a huge squad of Inductii which will be painted in a mid heresy colour scheme (red-white).
