As I hinted last week, I've added a Scout squad to my Executioners. I've been meaning to do this for a while, as Scouts provide some excellent bolter fire and board presence, and I'm excited to field a 10th Company Task Force within my Sternhammer Strike Force.
The Scouts, as well as the Executioner Heads, were my first Father's Day present, so I wanted them to look really good.
I went with the same camo scheme I used on my Sniper Scouts, though it's far less pronounced without the camo cloaks. I also went with a variety of skin tones, exhibiting the fact that the Executioners' homeworlds of Stygia and Aquilon are made up of a number of distinct nations and tribes.
The heads really make these guys stand out. They look so much better than the standard Scout heads! It makes me wish that I had had them when I made my snipers and Land Speeder Storms. Oh well, at least these guys will look great on the table. I've got another five already assembled and ready for painting, so they'll be my next project.
