Here is a shot of the Gatling Gun trimmed off the sprue. Minimal mold lines and easy to clean them up. Also they didn't have any ridiculous placement of the mold lines to make it hard to get them off.
If you look at the top of the gatling gun portion you will see it's a ball socket so it can be rotated go on either the right or left side. I could see some creative pinning or magnets making thing truly ambidextrous.
The kit comes in 4 pieces and go together easily. none of the parts came warped so I did not need to heat anything up to align the barrels.
The arms are pre-drilled to easily mount on traditional dreadnoughts. Here is a pic of two of the gatling gun kits together.
The Contemptor kits mount their arms differently so I had to create some pegs to be mounted out of plasticard tubing. I added magnets to the inside of the weapon holes and the end of the pegs so they can be swapped out easily.
Here are the same weapons from before mounted on to the comtemptor they are intended for.
Overall this was an excellent kit. It was well detailed and sculpted. Like I said before the was no warping of the parts and the mold lines were minimal and easy to clean up. I also had no bubbles in either of the kits.
Puppet Wars gets my top marks of 5 shields and I'll be picking up some of these soon for my own collection!
