I've been sitting quietly recently and watching the usual unfolding of discontent as the 6th Edition draws nearer. Like I said in my last post, I got into this hobby to have a little fun, I'm not into all of that "Lord of the Flies" crap.

I love the idea of allies. I love the idea of schools of psychic power. Sure, I'd love to see some easier mechanics, but that can be handled at a group level. I don't intend on doing tourneys or getting remotely serious about it. If I wanted serious I'd pay more attention to the real world instead of playing with my "Man Dollies" as a certain person likes to call them (some girls will just never get it).

I can't wait to get my sticky little fingers on the 6th Edition book so I can ogle all the pretty pictures and confuse my aged mind with half the mechanics I'll never use. I'll be inspired by towering creations of scenery and go over the painted firgures with a magnifying glass. I'd love to see the story progress a little further with the unfolding or discovery of more of the Emperors secret works discovered throughout the galaxy as the Golden Throne falls the bit further into failure. The unfolding of the Eldar prophecy of the Star Child becoming more intwined with the fate of the Emperor of Mankind. The rise of the Illuminati and with them the rise of the Sensei as a possible evolution of the Emperor to true godhood.

At the end of the day there are a million stories to be told. They unfold in the battlefields of our imagination, at our clubs and in our garages.

Was doodling one night while watching tv. Couldn't help but put it in the post for the hell of it.
I use to do these when I was a kid, in the corners of my school books. The teachers would always have something negative to say about them, but I would always catch them flicking the pages over and over.

As for my own creations. I've been working on a few different projects when I feel like it. Don't feel the need to throw myself into it and my desk looks like a bomb went off on it, as usual. But one recent project has been a set of Eldar Swooping Hawks for my son, Zach's army.

They're a little further along than these photos, but couldn't be bothered digging my camera out from under what ever pile it's under.

I need to get my hands on some more tins of basecoat for all the scenery projects that are built and awaiting basecoating. My work room is starting to look like a ruined imperial city.

So that's it for now, until the next time I can find my keyboard and mouse at the base of what ever pile I left them under too.
