Hi everyone,
I have finished the batch of chest plates I was working on from several posts ago. I want to use them for my Wolf Guard in power armour so I added some extra work to them. Altogether, I modelled six, all at the same time. They took approximately 3 hours each to finish, without considering curing times of the putty.
I also tried working on one of the Anvil Industry torsos, by adding some border designs to see how they fare when used with putty work. Over all, working on a base made of putty is easier, but the attempt was worth the effort in the end.
As you can see, I used Forge World etched brass combined with some border designs to make each one unique and stand out from the rest, as befits the Wolf Guard elite status in the Space Wolves chapter. What I did not want, was to spend hours of work on miniatures that are going to be used for tabletop wargaming. All in all, I think I have achieved an acceptable balance between work invested and presentability.
They will probably be used as pack leaders, as I don't see them very viable as a unit on their own. It is more worthwhile to field Terminators as a Wolf Guard unit. At least that is how I see it.
Anyway, that is all for now and as all ways
Farewell and good health
