Destroyers are big, mean, and hate life in all forms. The existing kit is quite nice, but if you want to something different today's post should help you.

This conversion uses the following kits and extras:

  • Necron Wraiths
  • Necron Lychguard/Triarch Praetorians
  • Plasticard
  • Brass rod and 40mm bases (or flying bases, your preference)

Start off by assembling the main body. Glue these two parts together as normal. Shave or file a flat space on the large orb in the middle.

Trim approx 4mm from the Wrath armour panel where the tips curve down, as shown, and shave an area underneath; this may require a bit of dry testing first and is more trial and error than hard science.

Glue the armour to the torso as shown. Rest of a flat surface until set to ensure it is level.

Flatten the part of the neck which would normally attach to the Wraith faceplate, and glue this down to the torso as shown and wait to fully set.

Flip the body over and add a small square of plasticard here.

Glue the Wraith chest/vent component here, carefully lining up the cables.

Glue the arms/legs to the Wraith.

Attach the Lychguard torso to the neck piece at any angle you like. Follow up with your choice of head.

This is a far as the guide goes. From here you can decide if you want to make a destroyer, heavy destroyer or destroyer lord, this guide allows you to easily make all three. I decided to make two heavy destroyers and a lord, the latter shown above. The only extra parts I needed were some Lychguard warscythe arms for the Lord, and both a tesla and gauss cannon from some Immortals for the heavy Gauss Cannon.

I hope you found this guide useful and I would love to see some of your attempts. Post them on the Facebook page or share a link in the comments.
