Two sub-assemblies make painting the interior easier.
Once the sub-assembly of the rear part of the head was painted internally, the crew were glued into position. The Mars-Beta version comes with these more angular pointy heraldic shields I opted not to use for "Dominus Victoria" so even though both Warlords have Mars-Beta heads, the shields are different. This one I use for the personal heraldry, this one being a yellow chevron. The centre boss icon was cut away and a different Legio Astorum decal used as the centre, ensuring all four Warlords have individual heraldic designs. The right hand (left as looking) I use as the standard Warlord designation heraldry, both are from the OOP Forge World Legio Astorum decal sheets.
The heraldic shields are fitted in place either side of the head.
The newer head (bottom) was painted with more chipping and weathering to match Alan G's weathered look, I like this as it shows different stages of repair/use/battlefront time inbetween maintenance and re-dedications of these God Engines. I chose to differentiate further by painting the rear trim of the newer Mars-Beta head with silver trim. Here are both Princep Majoris sitting proud on their Command Thrones.
Not bad match to the original job I did on "Dominus Victoria" five years ago now. The Rites of Colour continue for "Raptor Astra", Warlord No.258 will Walk soon!Warlord Raptor Astra will Walk alongside the Titan Owners Club UK at the London ExCel Centre event Salute 51 by the South London Warlords, where she will be battling Traitor and Xenos Titans! Remember to register your own Titans at Titan Owners Club (TOC), and if you want some cool Titan Owners Club merchandise TOC have a Spreadshirt Shop, any profits go to buying Titan-sized scenery for events.
Cheers, Princeps Seniores Siph.
