Apologies for non-existent posting in the last few weeks: getting married, moving house - that old Jazz. Mind you I think Mercer is going through the same and he manages...
There has been a lot of discussion about how Elites suffer due to never scoring. Fast Attack and Heavy Support have some scoring utility some of the time. But Troops are on permanently! So, thinking about the function of units, if I can effectively kill the enemy with troops that also score, we are onto a winner all of the time! It seems a no-brainer, but there aren't so many armies that can have all scoring units without resorting to Spam, and whilst still being effective against a range of threats....

The Wave Serpents all have holo-fields, scatter laser and 3 have shuriken cannons (couldn't afford all!).
Every unit scores.
There's tonnes of mobility.
I am not a fan of spam simply because I fear it makes life easier for your opponent and reduces your options. That said, we have the might of six Serpents here - ouchies!
The Storm Guardians bring fusion in the absence of Dragons - I don't really want them to assault!
The Scythes and Guardians combat hordes (+ ws) - the Windriders are a real menace to troops in these numbers.
The Rangers plink and fillet special weapons out. The singing spear gives the Warlock a chance against vehicles (if there are any left). You will be relying on Serpents against air - but that should be sufficient in most cases.
Wraithblades with shields could tie up a tough enemy unit or pounce on a small objective holder.
There is of course some room for fine tuning.
What do you think?
