Hi All,
A quick review post- weeman has now hit 400 posts, so we thought we'd do a quick review post so far.
Siph
Unfortunately as I write this, Siph is somewhere at sea, so in his absence I'll highlight his amazing titans, http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2010/04/imperial-reaver-and-warhound-titan.html which look stunning and are pretty potent on the field of play. Siph is slowly building a Necron army- which I'm sure will look great. On the battle front, Siph has had a rough time with 6th, with (and correct me if I'm wrong Siph) a single victory- using Lord Halfpenny's Daemon force.. My favourite 'Siph' moment was seeing his army in full during our huge Apocalypse battle http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/9000pt-apocalypse-madness-picture-heavy.html
Lord Halfpenny
For me, the highlight so far has been the conversion works that I've done, such as the master of the forge jetbike http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/wip-master-of-forge-on-jet-bike.html and skulltaker on a juggernaut http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/wip-skulltaker-on-jugganaut.html as well as my version of the Land Raider Terminus http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2010/08/land-raider-terminus-invictus.html
My favourite battle moments, firstly the apocalypse battle between me and Siph where my Ironclad took on a Warhound in CC- firstly it survived a the CC, and survived the apocalyptic explosion that resulted from him besting the warhound! http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2010/01/apocalypse-battle-report-4500-pts.html Secondly I will always remember my last battle at BW4, where Fateweaver cast Boon of Mutation on a Tervigon- and the resultant toughness test (requiring anything but a 6, Pete rolled a 6!) was failed and killed the beast along with scores of gants- swing the game to a win for me with the last roll of the dice!
The last 100 or so posts has seen me develop my daemon army- with additions of fateweaver, all 4 greater daemons, a FW greater Lord of Khorne (to be posted soon) and 3 'lawnmower' chariots of Slaanash. I really think I've worked out a good playing style with daemons- before I would get annoyed with myself if they suffered a deep strike mishap etc- however I've learnt that weirdly that's the way chaos daemons are- random- when it works, and they work they can be deadly- when it doesn't work- its car crash tv at times..
The next 12 months will hopefully see me complete all my daemon bases (I hate bases) then move onto a massive project- my Reaver titan..

The6thdegree
So as I look back over the past 100 posts, I think it was during this period when I really started getting into painting and trying to up my game a bit. I started repainting some of my Nids (http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/repainted-tervigon.html) , dabbled with Warmachine (http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/warmachine-khador-butcher-of-khardov.html) and Malifaux (http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/weekend-mini-project-malifaux-ramos-crew.html) and started my Iron Warriors army (http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/iron-warriors-hellbrute.html) .
I love my Iron Warriors and have been trying to slow-build the army to the best of my currently ability…which is starting to pay off with wins and top-3 finishes at painting comps (http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/iron-warriors-forgefiend.html) and having some of my minis sat on the GW Flickr Homepage for almost a month (meant to post about that and forgot).
It was pretty much over the past 100 posts that 6thEd came out and I’ve got to so - I love it. I think it makes for a more fluid game and there are less WTF moments than 5th Ed (like getting a million glances on a Rhino and nothing happening…). Saying that, I think its left Nids in a bit of a mono-build state (psychic powers and hordes of gribblies = good) and as much as I love the Iron Warrior fluff, the CSM codex is a bit…dull…although apparently that hasn’t affected how competitive they are…(http://weemen.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/weemen-at-blog-wars-5.html).
Looking at the next 100 posts, I hope to be able to devote a bit more time to the hobby (new job has killed my free time). Expect to see lots more Forgeworld stuff being added to my Iron Warriors (I am starting to consider making half of it pure Heresy era…) and I am starting to eye up airbrushes and Titans quite a lot (don’t tell the missus). Also – Nids on the horizon!!! I’m hoping the new codex shakes things up a bit and the current rumours floating around certainly make it look like they are – in which case I have a hell of a job to go through an repaint everything I’m not happy with (about 75% of the army…).
