At the start of 6th edition, Thunderfire cannons received a massive boost as the classification of artillery changed them from being an armor 10 vehicle to a toughness 7 infantry model. Well with the new space marine codex right around the corner, it has been confirmed that thunderfire cannons are going to become even more awesome.
THUNDERFIRE CANNONS HAVE THE BARRAGE SPECIAL RULE FOR ALL OF THEIR ROUNDS!!!!
Yes you read that right. They have barrage. That means: 1) no cover saves out in the open, 2) you can snipe out characters, 3) you can fire indirect i.e. no line of sight needed, and 4) they cause pinning. So as long as the initial shot hits, not more scattering off the in random directions as you would now flip the template to determine wounds. I am very excited about this, especially since their 3 shots do the same exact thing as before and they are the same cost.
