Hello again, folks.
Let's take a trip down the memory lane that is the last 6 months.
In August 2011, Elliot and myself were going strong in the hobby. We had just begun ED Wargaming, a business and a general source to channel our hobby into. We were getting in weekly games, and spending good amounts of time building lists and modelling.
In September 2011, this all came to a screeching halt. A sudden lack of time and drive left us without any desire for the hobby. It's what is know as burn-out: we over-hobbied until we couldn't do it any longer. Our commissions went south pretty quickly, and our business did not fly as we had hoped. In fact, I have no pictures on my camera of any progress from September through December. One picture remains from December, then nothing.
Until now.
The summer has come, and so has the time that begets a need to indulge our inner gamers. I picked up a brush for the first time in almost a year this weekend, and while it may take a while I enjoyed talking over a pot of paint and a bowl of water. There is a lot that has happened in the hobby in 9 months, and I need some time before I get back into the flow. But today something arrived that may redirect my creative energies for a while:
Inquisitor.
I first discovered Inquisitor during the summer of 2011 as I was browsing around some forums. I was enthralled by the small bands of figures that were so incredible that those such as Commissar Molotov (Ammobunker) put together. I was never able to get a hold of a rulebook at a decent price until now. $6 later, and my inner RPG player rises again. This should be fun.
So now, you may ask, where is this blog going to go?
ED Wargaming will continue to sell products for the foreseeable future this summer, and there will be auction updates for you all (if you care). But I want to de-commercialize a bit and provide some good, traditional, picture-filled hobby content for those who still read here. This will be mainly fueled by Inquisitor, but Elliot and I have plans for a new joint army that should rear its ugly head (or beautiful...) this summer. Beyond that, I don't know. Maybe I'll put up some of my writings; more videos will be in order as well. I have a new DSLR camera on the way, so maybe some artsy shots of miniatures. Whatever I feel is good, that's what you'll see.
Thanks to those who still read here.
Drew
