I got these new-on-sprue in a trade a while back.  Probably a year ago, by now.  I had intended to build a 1,000 point Chaos Daemons army as a project, but it fell apart for whatever reason.

Having dug them back up, I finally got around to painting them as enemies for my Rogue Trader campaign.

The thought occurs that I still don't know how to get images from my posts previewed in other people's blog rolls.  If you do, please let me know in the comments section below.

Khorne's magic number is eight, thus eight Bloodletters.  This was going to be the theme of the army.

A close-up shot of the squad leader.  The bigger the horns, the bigger the...  Sword...

Speaking of swords, here's a close-up of the squad leader's sword.

And a close-up of another daemon's sword.  I was going for a "cracked, char-blackened stone with lava pushing through, volcanic-type" look and I think I did a decent job for a table top quality model.

Here's a single of the icon bearer.  I didn't much care for the enormous icons that came with the boxed set, so I trimmed one of them down and stuck it on the bearer's pole.  This will ease transporting a model that's already pretty oblong.

Similar to the swords, I painted some crackling effects on the icon bearer's pole to show the daemon's grip eroding the physical material of the icon.

That's all for now.  I'll have a guest article up on Green Stuff Industries about editing your images for display in Photoshop on Monday, so please check that out along with the other great content available there.

All the best,
