The Path of the Kabal. One that Vect basically invented through treachery, pain, backstabbing and scheming. If you are new to the “20 Games” series… it is a concept that involves following through and properly testing a list concept. This testing should be take place over the course of more than 20 games. The core of the army should stay the same and a Journeyman should only make minimal changes to the list concept.  Here is the Original Concept list. Here is the first review of games 1-6.  So. I have chosen to make the first revision of the army list. Coteaz was just not making the cut, he was fun and all, but really a point sink for a gimmick. Therefore, after six games with the Kabal, and some fun was had I have played two more games with the revamped list.  I Dropped Coteaz I Dropped a ravager. I Dropped all the night shields I Dropped I Dropped a venom with trueborn But what did I add? Farseer on a Jetbike 3 Eldar Jetbikes 2 Double Scatterlaser Warwalkers 5 Warriors with a dual cannon venom. So. It might seems like not much. But may I tell you! I have now played 2 games with the new list. The additions have provided the list with much needed tactical flexibility. The farseer has been buffing my units to make the alpha strike all the more powerful. The eldar jetbikes give me much needed contesting and scoring reach in the late game and the addition of 2 more troop choices means that I am not worried as much about not being able to score on objectives.  I am liking the scatter laser warwalkers. Both games they have died a horrible death on turn 1 or two. This is something that I did not forsee! they have a greater threat value than the venoms or even the ravagers, and I plan to use this to my advantage in games. Their scout redeploy, also their ability to outflank. I have to remember tho, that they do have battle focus.  Game 7 was against Adam and his space wolves. His list was a well put together army, you saw some of the pics of his models yesterday. It was a fun, tactical game. I had to focus on the thunderwolves and the troops and then move onto objectives.  Game 8 was against Matt and his Howling Gryphons! That he has been converting into truescale so they look awesome. His list was full foot troops… tonnes and tonnes of marines, sternguard, tacticals and tiggy. With a hunter. First time I have faced one before, nice little tank. It was a lot harder for me to kill then I originally thought took me 3 turns to finally take it down, with blasters, raiders and ravagers! The stars of this game… Vect, the Jetseer and the eldar jetbikes. They had fortune up on them and they ate almost everything… squad after squad after squad… with the seer and vect soaking up wounds and just jumping back and forth. I am liking the Vect style army.  So these are some of the minor changes that I have made to the army, but they drastically change the way that it plays. When you are on a Journey of your own, make sure you give units that you put into your list a chance! As long as they fill a role… sometimes you will be surprised at what they can achieve.  Well. That is all that I have for you again.  Skari - out!
