Well I hope all of you who were interested in attending the Adepticon team tournament and the championships got tickets, because they are all gone. Good thing I set my alarm and reminders so I didn't forget to pick them up!
By my calculation, the team tournament sold out in 52 minutes while the championship sold out in 2 hours and 35 minutes. My any measure of success, that is extremely impressive! I was actually surprised the website did not crash, however it was extremely slow in processing orders. It took 20 minutes for me to purchase a weekend badge (I picked up the VIG one) a team tournament ticket, and a GT ticket. Holy cow, I wonder how fast they are going to go next year???
As an aside, the Da Boyz GT was awesome. The team formally known as the Toledo Tools took first place at the team event and got a bad ass trophy from it. In the singles event, I quite frankly did really bad, but you win some and you lose some. At any rate, I met my goal of winning five games over the course of the weekend, learned a lot about the meta, my bikes, and the rules, so I count that as winning.
