The Dark Eldar Kill Team advanced in on an imperial reliquary and searches the rubble for survivors! The Black Templars (iron hands) have some other idea!
8 Sternguard. With a Heavy Bolter are the team that is designated to scout out enemy activity and repell all intruders.
The Imperial Reliquiary!
The Templars Deploy: “Enemy Sighted! There is movement in the manufactorum. Engage the Xenos on sight. They shall not be allowed to defile this holy place.”
The Dark Eldar also deploy:
The Templars take first turn: “Advance into position brothers, they will break from their hideouts at any moment.”
The overview:
The Dark Eldar! Advance, the reavers take the lead. After 3 reaver passes, the Heavy Bolter marine, (with the ‘ignore cover” special rule) survives!
The others stalk in the shadows:
The Templars take on the tough targets! Ignore cover rounds are hitting home hard, two of the reavers go down:
The dark eldar flank cumbles! with only a single model remaining!
The Dark Kin Bring their firepower to bare:
Templars use unorthodox tactics to “sneak” towards the dark eldar lines.
The main objectives are mostly held by the templars.
The lone jetbike at the back threatens and kills the enemy leader! (and is scoring line breaker)
With break tests ! The Dark Eldar are dwindling, they loose their leader to a failed break test. The Templars Earn Slay the Leader!
The last jetbike continues to be a pain for the marines:
The forces are dwindling and the dark eldar break the enemy warband! Forcing tests:
Going to ground! The templar on the walkway objective survives all shooting with a FNP! to hold on to the win for the Space Marines, by one point!
What a game. This was a lot of fun. The Sternguard are an amazing Kill Team… the ignore cover rounds being the nastiest thing about the small list. The dark eldar could only rely on LOS blocking terrain and focuss fire to stay alive. I have some ideas to revamp the Killteam… they involve a raider as well as trueborn.
Dark Eldar loss. Thanks a lot for tuning in!
Cheers!
