TJ (AKA the artist formerly known as Old School Terminator) here with an update on the "Mammoth," my Maulerfiend conversion. This one may be huge, but it was a quick project for me. Let's take a brisk run around the model.

Since the last time I posted an update on this model, I basically added some Green Stuff fur, a little more flesh and a few bits here and there.

Basically, I almost let this conversion slide for a while ... until I saw Fly Molo whipping his hair back and forth with a super fast CSM army, rocking some Maulerfiends to make it to the top table! I really like the fast play, ignoring terrain and simple nature of "MAULER SMASH!"

So, I got home a put a little love into this conversion to get it ready for paint.

For those of you looking at how light my Green Stuff looks ... I have started combining Green Stuff and Miliput. I use a ratio of 3 parts Miliput and 1 part Green Stuff. You need to mix each separately and THEN combine them. The result is a medium which sculpts like Green Stuff, dries like Miliput (though less brittle) and tends to hold sharp angles a little better than GS.

All in all, I am happy with it and look forward to getting some paint on it this week. I would love to hear what you all think.
