It's been a long, long road - but we've finally gotten to the point where Clan Strife is almost ready to launch as a seasonal game here at the Wargate. I wanted to take a moment and delineate where the Wargate's coverage of our homebrew Legend of the Five Rings modification for Ronin (review available here) will fall, and what the other side of the blogspot will cover. Both sites will feature Clan Strife material, and it will be exactly what you expect from both sites.
For one thing, Clan Strife has been linked to at the top of the page for over two years. It will remain linked there for ease of access to club members. It's not fully complete yet, but new units and rules will be cranked out at an alarming rate from here on in.
Here on the Wargate, we'll cover all of our club campaigns and projects. The Clan Strife blogspot will serve as a living textbook that will update and change with the game. There will be no opinion pieces on the Clan Strife blogspot, only developed rules for the game.
Island of Lies is the first game campaign we'll be covering, and it will be a doozy. More on that next week, but for now - just know that the strife is coming. Get your Rising Sun samurai models finished sometime in the next season for to feature here on the Wargate! It's time to show off all those Wargames Factory models we've been building for so long.
I'm very excited everyone is on board for Legend of the Five Rings battles. Even more, Skim will be running Legend of the Five Rings, 4th Edition as an RPG after Dark Heresy runs it's course. The club should prepare for our proper dose of katanas, shuriken and shugenja this spring, because there's a wave of Japanese flavor rolling our way!
