Hey All,

I've got a very important public service announcement to make regarding 40k, the 40k community and the upcoming Astra Militarum (Millipede) release. The message is as follows:

CALM THE F**K DOWN YOU ASSHATS AND STOP WITH THE DOOM AND GLOOM,

IT GETS OLD AFTER A WHILE.

THE CODEX ISN'T OUT YET SO WHY THE KNEE JERK REACTION TO RUMOURS?

End message. In all seriousness, I just wanted to say that as the negativity just gets me down a bit as I'm excited for this release. I'm not going to buy everything or make some cheese list- I'm excited purely to see another army be updated and get some cool-looking stuff.

What pees in my cheerios, to use a foreign expression, is going onto rumour sites and forums and seeing negative comment after comment after comment etc argumentum ad nauseam ad infinitum.

Time and time again the stuff derided as 'worthless' has been proven to be exactly the opposite. The heldrake, then Tau, then Eldar and so on. Just seeing so much negativity on major news parts of our hobby must be doing wonders for bringing new blood into the fold.

Can't we be more like

"Wow, those new ogryns look really cool! I'm gonna paint them like a bunch of gym-junkies"

Instead of:

"Ugh, why'd they make ogryns very bulky! As if they weren't already bad enough" -something along that vein (I can't really get into the negative vibe thing)

Sure this post may come across as negative, but it's not. It's frustration as apparently 40k is made up of some onion-human hybrid- there's tears and bitterness everywhere.

*sigh* Eh, whatever.
