They came in today and I will do both a video and written review. The video will be more on the ascetics. This will be a complete review of everything.
The Bad
Let's get the bad stuff out of the way. Shipping was the one area where I often see things going wrong. You make a product and you hand it to a company. They are then expected to make the hand off to your customer. Yeah...not exactly as planned. Several more emails and almost a week later, the post office sends me updated shipping information. Still a day later than their estimate and the box was beat to hell. That is about it for the bad stuff.
The Good
The detail is amazing. The streets are one full piece of MDF and the sidewalks are separate and are to be attached. The foundation tiles come with risers to even everything out and it really brings the table to life. 16 tiles make up a set but the number of actual pieces that come with it is kinda unreal. I was truly impressed.I set them up and took some test photos but I have to admit its a bit daunting once you place them and start putting your terrain on the board. The set I have consists of two long roads going down the length of the board. This a opens up a big fire lane. I going to have to come up with a better way to break it up (NOTE: As I typed that I could actually turn the board. One side will get the edge with more terrain and one would have less terrain but decide who went first).
The pictures don't do it justice. I am in the process of assembling everything and plan to start painting it this weekend.
The Verdict
I think I made a very good decision to go with these. They will look really good once done. I would highly recommend picking up a set.Below are a few more pics of the tiles. Please excuse the poor lighting.
