Plague Marines chilling in a crater

My first attempt at making some scenery, so I thought I’d document the process. Nobody wants to read a wall of text Dorn would be proud of, so this is purely a visual treat

Cut up some old ply and sand the edges down

Using some PVA glue, stick down some angled polystyrene

Polyfilla all over it

Then grab my box of trusty sand and various grades of gravel

Sprinkle over. Adding the larger bits of gravel inside the edges of the crater

Seal with watered down PVA

Seal with watered down PVA, this protects the polystyrene from the aerosol spray paint

Heavy stippling with watered down brown, followed by endless stages of drybrushing from dark grey all the way up to the lightest grey
