Necessity is the mother of invention! As we are bound to our oath to only push painted models over the table the more pricey elite units are mostly not something one should buy and paint first. Then again you have absolutely neat models for the Horus Heresy such as the wide range of Terminator squads. So Flattervieh and me came up with an idea to field them even before we have huge painted armies in which such units actually make sense. Here is the deal for the upcoming Kill Team like match: You have 500 points to spend. Everything goes as long as it is wearing a tactical dreadnought armour. Oh, and the “army” should be led by a cool individual. That’s it actually. Of course you might have already guessed that this is just a lame excuse to spend money and get our hands on the stuff. But I think this idea will be fun anyway.
Certainly I will stick to my Sons of Horus and will field 5 Justaerin led by Abaddon himself. He will be facing Typhon with some Death Guard Terminators and some World Eaters, too. Really curious to see what Flattervieh will come up with.
