Still at it hammer and tongs …with absolutely no sign of either life or hobby slowing down for a second. Will something give? Right now, we simply don’t know. Next week, however, will still mark an important announcement here on a Gentleman’s Ones. Stay tuned.

I mentioned recently that Roberto Vo5 blew through town like a hobby hurricane on his annual leave. I have known Roberto quite literally from the day I was born and, though at that time lacking fine motor skills and speech, we have been nerd comrades since that day. He is the reason I first read the good professor Tolkien back in the 80s. That should say it all, really.

Anyway, on this most recent excursion, Roberto introduced me to (and provided me with) Dystopian Wars, and even kindly, patiently walked me through a game with my new faction –The Federated States of Huhmurica. I. Effing. Loved. That. Game. -even though my most potent offensive move came the moment a much-worried Cruiser finally exploded and scratched a significant amount of paintwork on the surrounding enemy vessels.

The fluff is catchy. The rules seem quite straightforward. The models are gorgeous –win and win and win. And the word "Dystopia" is right there in the title. Smashing stuff.

Because I don’t have enough to do these days, the FSA will be getting some serious painting attention in the coming weeks. Progress pending.
