Works in progress of the Succubus, Thagrosh the Prophet (1) and Absylonia. As you can see I went with a slightly different color scheme and I'm very excited about it overall.

I've never been a fan of the blue/brown mix that the Privateer studio has used to paint Legion, largely because the calcified armor seem too harsh a transition from the blue of the skin. It didn't seem like a natural occurrence.

So after lots of research I found a nice palette that I like. I start with the Frost Blue of the skin. I knew I wanted that in. I decided that the calcified parts of the models (the blighted sections) would be a darker blue, hinting at a hardening of the soft skin into a more leathery feel and finally transition to black at the hardest, bony sections.

My spot colors would be purple and green, just to break up the flat blue and add a little pop. The green so far is being used on all the eyes and the purple is used on the cloth and bits of armor.

Here are some photos I found online as I gathered my thoughts and sought some inspiration. I don't know who the girls are, I just googled "blue/purple complimentary color schemes" and I got lots of images.

Thanks for reading!
