I love my minis. Sometimes they overwhelm, though. Can't blame anyone but myself, though, I love my minis. That said, here is just a quick recap of some of the stuff I'm working on.

The first image is Dawnlord Vyros, a warcaster for the Retribution of Scyrah. I struggled a long while deciding on the color pallette I wanted to use and I settled on a muted theme based on Coal Black (a p3 color). There are the gems missing, which are going to be green.

Then we have some Grey Knight models that are in various stages of completion, with my Librarian being the 3rd or that model which I paint. It's one of my favorite models in the Citadel line and each time I paint it is a joy.

Next there is Inquisitor Rex, a Forgeworld Inquisitor for the Grey Knights. He's my first FW model and I was suprised by the crappy quality. It's a fine model, delicate and full of lots of details, but it's a pretty poor cast. I've come to expect junk from Finecast but I have always believed that FW had to really be much better, so I was a bit let down. I recently purchased a Lysander model which is really nicely cast (finally, a good bit of Finecast!) and was hoping that FW would really surpass that. It says a lot about the techniques that Privateer Press has been using. If you've not looked at their plastic/resin models, you should, they're nicely done.

The lovely female is a Confrontation model named Mira, who I use as my generic (Malleus, Xenos, etc) Inquisitor for my Grey Knights. She's a beautiful model and quite old now, but she fits well into the 40k universe.

Lastly is Thagrosh, the Prophet of Everblight. I've never been a huge fan of this model because I think his face is wonky, but overall this model is full of a ton of energy and he's a wonderful caster, as well. He's tough to pass up :)

So, there you have it, what I'm painting this week. Thanks for stopping by!
