The issue I had from the beginning was the gold. I had some early success, but nothing that really popped. Until now!
These images are some of the works in progress that I'm quite happy with and I wanted to post them up. The Chronicler has been here before, so I added him specifically to show off the improved gold.
The recipe is simple, involving 2 yellows and 1 wash. I begin with a base of Citadel Averland Sun (Base Color). Once dry, I was the base with Sepia, also from Citadel. Once dry, I mix Averland Sun with a bit of Yellow Lasur (Vallejo Air) and start highlighting - each highlight sees me adding a bit more Lasur. The final edge is pure Yellow Lasur. That's it, that's all it is and I love it!
I'm sure there are other takes, maybe even better, but I am quite happy with it. Hope you enjoy!
