Tits for Tournaments: The Golden Throne GT is Incoming!

In a few short weeks a 6th edition tournament that harkens back to days of Ard’ Boyz will commence. The Golden Throne GT in San Francisco Bay Area is rare bird because no only is it a 2,000 point tournament, but included is double force org! It will be an amazing test to see if playing by the real rules for large games actually breaks the game. In addition, the Golden Throne will also be allowing 40k approved Forge World. The vast amount of army list choices is staggering; it will be very interesting to see what players come up with, and if they have there models painted in time.

Because of other engagement I cannot attend the tournament, but being in my back yard I will take some time to check in and take pictures and see the armies. Here is a quick blurb from the organizer Robert Pace

Friday is a full day of sit-and-go events, where you can: join in a narrative Assault on the Cadian Gate; convert an awesome original model; pit your biggest, baddest HQ against an arena of death; or draft an entirely new 200pt Kill Team! If that’s not quite awesome enough for you, you get a raffle ticket for every event you enter and at the end of the day you can win a Dreamforge Leviathan Crusader titan! On Saturday and Sunday the main event Grand Tournament is 2000pts, with both dual force org and 40k approved Forgeworld allowed! You can register with up to four of your friends as a team, and you’re guaranteed not to play against them on the first day of the tournament! Everyone plays in three rounds on Saturday and three more on Sunday. At the end of the weekend the team with the best performance wins a prize along with the individual players who do the best!
