White Dwarf Issue #100: Review of the Year 2015
White Dwarf reviews operate differently than other Blood of Kittens Reviews. The goal with these reviews is to place a value for each issue. The rating system is one to four stars, each star represents $1 in value, to a max of four dollars. The review values are also Warhammer 40k based; Age of Sigmar dedicated issues will still be reviewed, but valued for Warhammer 40k players. It means you could see many low valued issues, with a general Games Workshop hobbyist actually valuing them more. Keep this in mind when deciding if a particular White Dwarf Issue is good for you.
Contents: The White Dwarf Review of the Year
This issue of White Dwarf is all about rehash, but in a good way. These year in review issues are a good good way for the average fan to keep track of what happened over the past 12 months in the land of Games Workshop, especially when you consider the rapid release schedule we now have. To make this easy we are going to condense the already condensed month by month break down ground in this issue.
- January: Necrons, End Times – Thanquol
- February: Harlequins
- March: End Times – Archaon, Khorne Daemonkin
- April: Skitarii, Eldar
- May: Imperial Knights, Assassinorum – Execution Force, Cult Mechanicus
- June: Space Marines, Dark Angels
- July: Age of Sigmar
- August: Chaos Dreadhold
- September: Quest for Ghal Maraz
- October: Tau, War Zone Damocles – Kouyon
- November: Horus Heresy – Betrayal at Calth, War Zone Damocles – Mon’ta, Seraphon
- December: Archaon – Everchosen

Contents: The Year In: Black Library
As with Forge World we get a page for Black Library. This doesn’t actually do any justice to the amount of releases this part of GW had, and the selection they chose to mention is pretty weak.
Contents: Miniature of the Year 2015
The issue ends with White Dwarf calling for readers to submit their top five choices for model of the year for 2015. This is neat idea, if only it was done in a more interesting way. As it is you can email White Dwarf what you think and the results will come out in two months, well after you forget about 2015 or the choices you made in the first place.
Next Issue Hint: New year, New Army…
Final Verdict
Issue #100 is an average issue providing no usable material, but is a great time capsule for looking back. The issue does a great job breaking down what we saw each month from the last year, but gives terrible lip service to the Black Library and Forge World.
